4th Of July Entertaining

This was the most exciting food ever brought to one of our Fourth of July parties. Those are hot dogs made of frosting and cookies, cake courtesy of Bella Napoli in Latham. My colleague Innae Park found this treasure and not only were the adults excited to dig in, the kids loved it too.

Fourth of July parties seem to be the easiest for me to put together. The color theme is already decided and who doesn't love a down home barbecue? My husband Donavan is a professional Chef from Fort Worth Texas... and the man can throw down on the grill! His ribs and brisket never seem to last because people scoop them up right away.

Are you planning a big party today? Whether it's planned or all of a sudden you find yourself in a pinch putting together a party- no fear. There are some great ideas on Pinterest to plan the perfect party. Some of these treats look so easy to make too! Of course it's not hard to come up with a color theme on this day. Just go wild with your red, white and blue. You can never have enough country pride.

Click here for more ideas like those above. This Pinterest lover really found a wonderful collection of red white and blue treats!

Head to your local craft store, with your coupon (of course) and check out the sale area first. You will likely find a whole bunch of items that help your home look great.

Happy holiday friends!
