1 in 4 people infected with HIV is female.
Only 1/2 of women living with HIV get care.
I talked with a Planned Parenthood expert today on set and she reminded me that women have the unique concern that they can transmit the virus to a child if she is pregnant. There are many medications that can help someone manage the disease but the worse thing you can do is not do anything. The fact that many women do not get the care they need is alarming.
In order to be your most successful version of yourself you need to care for your body and mind. Knowledge is key. Know your status.
