Capital Region/ Hudson Valley: We're keeping a watchful eye on "Sandy" this afternoon as it churns off the coast of the Carolina's. Current track takes the storm through the Delmarva Peninsula and then into Pennsylvania Monday. If this track holds true, then most of the
heaviest rainfall with the system will track through those areas. The system is a massive wind generator, which will likely be the main threat from the storm locally. Downed trees and power lines resulting in power outages will be the primary concern, along with a threat for some flooding. Plan accordingly before the storm arrives.
