It was a very busy day at YNN in preparation for Sandy. We started out strong with all the preparation stories and then mobilized into actual storm coverage mid day. Above is called "Ingest". That is where all the incoming and outgoing live shots and video filter through.
The anticipation of Sandy proved to be stressful for some. Must always have a supply of the pink stuff on hand.

Meteorologist Heather Morrison spent her night camped out in the wind and eventual wet weather.
It looks as if people heeded the warnings. The shelf for water was bare in an area grocery store.
All the flashlights were put in place and ready to go. Thankfully I didn't need to use them.
