Springing Forward Stinks

Oh how unfortunate for me that I actually had to set my alarm clock to wake up at 6 A.M. on Sunday to get ready for my first triathlon. That meant it was actually 5 A.M.- despite what the clock said. But I guess it's all just as well because Monday- after spring forward day- is brutal no matter what.

I get very little sleep as it is- being a morning news anchor type. We get up in the middle of the night and get all dolled up to tell you the news. Are we morning people? Most will tell you no. How do we do it? Determination... lots of makeup... and coffee.

Our least favorite day of the year is Monday after spring forward day. We get through it- then crash. Sadly- we have a week of tiredness before some catch up sleep on the weekend. I know- experts will tell us we can't "make up" sleep- but still I sure do feel better after sleeping in as long as I want... er the kids want. That would be no later than 7 A.M. according to my kid's internal feed me clock. Either way- that's pretty awesome in the grand scheme of things.

Anyway- I'm sure you've heard enough of me griping about being tired. I know you're not getting any quality sleep either. We're a nation of tired people. We should lobby for mandatory siestas in the work day. How bout it?  Oh too tired to even think about it? Yeah- I understand.
