Bride vs Bridesmaid

I got married 20 years ago. I'm pretty sure that's before the term "Bridezilla" was coined. I remember most brides just being thankful their friends would spend the $60 or $70 required to make a dress they hoped they liked but knew they would never wear again.

Now weddings are over the top expensive- with destinations, pricey parties and fancy foods.

In what can be described as an epic display of crazy bridal party drama there is an email gaining attention on Gawker.

The bride outlines in detail that there will be no less than three destinations across the country requiring the bridesmaids to travel to to participate in several events. She also tells them that if they can not attend all events for any reason- they are no longer invited to be a bridesmaid.

Well, apparently one friend decided she didn't like the demands and she fired back with her own email in which she criticized point for point the brides demands. She concludes with:

"So what you're saying is that the people you don't like as much get to show up to that one party and then leave, without spending thousands of dollars and the next year as your indentured servant? How do we sign up for that?  Please let me know by Friday. Best, A Former Bridesmaid "

I'm not sure either of these women coming out smelling like roses. Check out the article. Let me know- who do you think was in the right? Were you or do you know a bridezilla?
