Do You Have What It Takes?

I was struck by the title: "What Does It Take to Be a Sports Illustrated Cover Girl? Here’s How Kate Upton Did It".  Apparently we have a shot-- if you believe what SI Swimsuit issue editor MJ Day.

Day told OMG from Yahoo: “Obviously, the cover is very special, and how we look at it now is it’s more than a photograph, it’s a story,” Day revealed. "That photograph encompasses everything you want, it’s a story. It’s a perfect picture with perfect light, a perfect smile, a perfect face and incredible backdrop. There is so much more to it than a pretty girl on a beach. It’s more than a picture."

Reallllllyyyyyyy??? Ha ha. Ok- so she's not on a beach, I'll give them that... but really- is anyone looking at the background?

After I read that quote- I admit, the rest of the article kinda sounded like the teacher on the Peanuts movies. I just kept giggling. No, I'm not hating on the SI models. I actually love looking at it. If you'd like to read more- please click HERE.

Model Mistake?

Photo: Yahoo
You might be filing this one under: WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING? In the midst of death and distruction Former Brazillian Playboy Model Nana GouvĂȘa decided it would be a great idea to get all gussied up and go out for a photo shoot. Well, some would say she's achieved her goal of getting attention, but she is mostly coming under heat for the decision.

She could be seen by anyone who passed by posing among the debris of Hurricaine Sandy. The photos were posted on Egoglobo.com   When asked about her photo shoot she told EGO: that she'd been stuck in her New York apartment with her music-producer husband and found the hurricane "romantic."

What do you think? Creative or Classless?
