Desktop Decluttered

I decluttered my laptop desktop today... and that's a big deal in my world! Phew- I said it. I know, for some of you out there that seems so simple. You keep your desktops clutter free, have neat little folders for everything and file them away right away. In my perfect world- I aspire to be you. The truth of the matter is, my desktop usually looks so cluttered you can't tell what you're looking at. It kinda snowballs out of control for me. I start out with the greatest intentions and create files--- and then ignore them. I add a picture, a document and then I have a whole colony of things cluttering up my space I don't know what to do.

This was a big step for me to address it because I have found that something as simple as a cluttered desktop can lead me to feel "Stuck" when it comes to addressing other small tasks... like deleting emails. I currently have 7-THOUSAND emails in just one of my email accounts. SIGH. I know- it's crazy, but today I'm not going to worry about that. I am going to celebrate the fact that my desktop has blank space.

Do you find that avoiding one small task can lead you down the path of ignoring others? Share your stories. I'd love to hear how you deal with it.
