You ARE a Success!

My 12-year-old said "WAIT! What's wrong with her legs!?! WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER?!?!"


My 9-year-old said "I don't understand. She's STRONG!"


My 14-year-old boy said "LOOK at those CALVES!"


As they continued to watch they saw Misty's power and grace and perseverance in the face of hearing the words in such an awful rejection letter and they all got it! Nothing is wrong with her. Everything is wrong with the people who judged her based on a set of standards that were pre-determined by god knows who.


Life is about believing in yourself and your talents. Misty Copland is a representative of that. I have spent a lot of time thinking about this lately and how I will contribute to this world. A while back I allowed my doubts to silence my voice, but have now begun to speak again. I truly want to use this space and my other social sites as a place to empower people and help them achieve their defined level of success and realize that they already ARE a success even if they have greater goals! Success is individual. Success may be getting that raise or simply getting up and making a pot of coffee. Neither is more important than the other. It is individual.


My message to you is nothing is wrong with you. You are unique. You are amazing.
