End Of Vacation Blues?

I heard that January 6th is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year. Apparently there was a whole study about it. It's the day most of us go back to work from vacation, people are coming to the realization that they spent way too much and they got an overload of kids for a couple weeks- but now that the kids are back to school they miss them and there's really not much to look forward to. Sigh.

Many parents I talk to have mixed feelings about the whole return to work thing- or more specifically the return to school thing. They love spending extra time with their kids- but those same kids get bored real quick. That leads to fights among siblings and a generally bored child. Believe it or not- kids enjoy the routine of school. They won't tell you that.

One resident of my home was VERY happy that everyone went on their merry way. Miss Boo Kitty loved it. In fact- I think she was surprised that we didn't stay away for very long... someones always home. Poor Boo.
