Coming off the holidays I never plan to do anything for winter break. I figure I'll just suck it up and work through the week and then the kiddos will go back to their normal routine. Problem is- as we creep toward the date where they will be home resting all week- I start to regret my decision.
Today is the first day of the week off- and I'm up at work then will go directly home and my kids will want me to entertain them. It is another full time job. Don't get me wrong- I actually love having them around more. It's just more challenging when you've already been up and at work since the middle of the night... and they're well rested and just itching for some action. By 2 in the afternoon- you're ready for a nap and they're just getting started.
Then there's the thought that we could be on a warm beach, soaking up the rays. Why didn't I plan that vacation? Hmmm- its at this point where I say- well, NEXT year- maybe we'll take it off....
