Fitness Update

Remember when I told you how I found out how many muscles I didn't have after taking a back to back class of Body Pump and Fitness a week ago? I was sore for 5 days. I think being sick didn't help the matter. My body didn't want to recover fast.

Well, this past weekend I made plans to go back and take the double class again. I know... I know- some things just don't make sense. When the snow storm threatened my plans to pump it up- I actually got upset. A big part of me really wanted to see if I could conquer the beast of two hard workouts. Well, I got my chance to face the challenge when I woke up and found that the classes were only delayed by an hour- not cancelled.

So, while everyone was enjoying coffee I had my hubby help me get out of the driveway and headed to class. It was packed again. Yep, a lot of people love those classes and teacher... and so do I!

The music was pumping and 2 hours later I was thoroughly worked out. I did an assessment of which body parts were in the hurt bag--- and it turns out I felt like only my arms would be in danger of not working for a few days.

As the day wore on- I was pretty sure that was going to be the case. Although, when I went to bed- I began to worry about my legs too. I woke up Sunday for my triathlon class. I moved my legs. They were tight but working. Then I stretched my arms. They were a little weak, but they worked too! I stood up and did a happy dance! I was sore- but functional- functional enough to do that happy dance- and only wince once! LOL

My tri class even went well and after I got done with that I really felt good. There is no doubt that you can push your body harder than you think you can. It may take a little pain to get there, but you can do it! This was the lesson I learned this weekend! Feeling good and looking forward to my next kick butt class!
