As we reported on YNN: New York's Highest Court won't hear a lawsuit filed by a group hoping to strike down New York's Marriage Equality Act.
New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms filed the suit in the wake of the legalization of same-sex marriage.
The Livingston County-based group argued in part that the Senate Republican conference violated the state’s Open Meetings Laws when it invited Mayor Michael Bloomberg in to their closed-door conference.
The Executive Director of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms Reverend Jason McGuire says they're disappointed but not surprised by the decision.
McGuire says the group will now focus on other approaches to challenging the law.
