Body Fat Percentage

I found these pictures very interesting and insightful as to what body fat percentages look like on an actual body. We hear the numbers but this is probably the first time I've seen it illustrated. Women according to Eat Smarter anything under 18% can be risky in terms of fertility and menstruation aim between 18-30% for optimal health.

Men- here's your chart. I also found a body fat % chart that lets us understand the connection between body fat and your overall health. As we are getting into the colder months and the holidays a lot of my friends say they feel like they are preparing for hibernation and eating heartier foods and not wanting to work out. Experts tell me this is a great time to set some new fitness goals so we can hold off the holiday weight gain. I've signed up for a new running class and a new swimming class. Do you have any winter fitness goals?
