Anchor Responds To Viewer Criticism Goes Viral

WKBT News Anchor Jennifer Livingston burst onto the national scene when she responded to an anonymous viewer e-mail in which the man said he was surprised to see her physical condition "had not changed for many years" and he asked her to "reconsider your responsibility as a local public personality to present and promote a healthy lifestyle". Above you can see her calling the email an effort of bullying.

I asked friends on Facebook: Do you think she was bullied? Do you think she responded appropriately or just as inappropriate as her attacker?

Response was passionate! Some said Yes she was bullied and applauded her for speaking out and taking him to task for his anonymous email. Others said no and it comes with the territory. While some said it wasn't bullying but it was hurtful and unnecessary.

Livingston used the moment to not only respond to her critic but also highlight October is National Anti-Bullying Month . Advertising Guru Donnie Duetsch said Livingston came out the bully when she used her position and power as a News Anchor to respond to the viewer.

No matter who came out the bully in this fight- it's good to take away that it is a month to combat this problem. I'm still interested in your opinions on this topic. Please continue to weigh in with your views.
