I don't think there's a consumer out there who wouldn't know this is just a way to get people to buy- but hey- if its a good discount or something free- we'll play along!
*Tim Hortons shop says if you purchase a beverage and are wearing your "I Voted" sticker they will give you a free donut. Some voters in select cities, including Buffalo N.Y. will also get free coffee and donuts while they wait in line at local polls.
*7-Eleven says you can come by a drink and show your political preference! Customers can show how they'll vote with special red (for Mitt Romney) and blue (for President Obama) coffee cups through midnight on Nov. 6.
* Vote and Vax provides flu vaccines to voters at polling locations around the country. Parents can also bring their children. You'll have to pay the going rate for a vaccine in your area's pharmacies and clinics. This one is just about convenience.
*Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop is offering a special Americone Dream sundae, which includes Americone Dream ice cream (Ben & Jerry's flavor made for Stephen Colbert), caramel, whipped cream and a selection of dry toppings. This promotion is being extended to customers through the end of the year.
*Vote in the Boston Market Bowl Poll! Pick your favorite Market Bowl (chicken or turkey) through Nov. 6. On Nov. 7, the winner of the poll will be announced. That day, Boston Market will offer everyone a free Market Bowl with a purchase of a bowl and a drink. You have to have a coupon. You can find one on the company website and its Facebook page.
